Whether your child is transitioning from Cub Scouts or is brand new to Scouting, we’d love to welcome your family to Troop 1316!
Who can join? Youth who are at least 11 years old, OR have completed the 5th grade, OR have earned the Arrow of Light rank and are at least 10 years old. As a Family Troop, we proudly welcome both boys and girls!
How does a Family Troop work? Scouting America allows family troops to operate as a single unified unit with dedicated patrols for boys and girls. This means brothers and sisters can participate in the exact same troop meetings, share the same high-adventure campouts, and grow together, while parents only have to manage one calendar and one set of dues.
Can parents get involved? Absolutely! We encourage parents to serve on the Troop Committee, assist with transportation on campouts, or share skills as Merit Badge Counselors.
What equipment do we need to start? Just a Scout handbook, a uniform shirt, and a desire to learn! The troop provides group camping gear like cooking equipment.
